When you are visiting London, one thing you certainly won’t need to worry about is a lack of public transport. There are so many options when it comes to travelling to and around London depending on your trip, so get ready to find out your options!

London Underground

The first method of transport in London is a pretty iconic one; the London Underground! This is one of the world’s most reliable and innovative systems to help you get around the city. Both incredibly quick and very affordable, you can literally get anywhere you want in London on the underground. To put this into perspective, the total length of the system is 250 miles! Most tubes run from 5am until midnight, with some being later on Friday and Saturday evenings. Overall, this is a great way to get around London, but it can be slightly confusing to begin with as you may need to swap lines to get where you’re looking for. If you are ever stuck, ask a member of staff and they’ll be happy to guide you in the right direction.

Santander Cycles

Another great method of transport that is also very eco-friendly is Santander Cycles. These are London’s city bikes and there are around 800 docking stations around London, so you can pick up a bike on one side of the city and drop it off on the other side if you’d like to! London has lots of cycle lanes so you can feel safe. This is a great way to explore some of the Royal Parks across the city, with Hyde Park being a particular highlight. If you want to stay active whilst in London and the weather is nice, the Santander Cycles are a fantastic thing to use!

Care Park

Next up, we have Care Park Car Parks. If you want to drive into London and keep your car there, then Care Park is a safe and secure place to keep it. You can get everywhere you need by public transport, but if you are in London for slightly longer and want to explore the surrounding areas, driving can be a good idea! There’s security, CCTV, secure entrances and exits and 24 hour access at Care Park, so you know you can rest in the knowledge that your car is safe during the trip.

Hop-On-Hop-Off Bus

Last but not least, we have the hop-on-hop-off bus! These buses have so many stops around the city at the major landmarks and they always take the scenic route, so you can see all of the best things that London has to offer. As the name says, you simply book a ticket for the day and you can get off at any stop you want to explore. You can spend as long as you’d like there, head back to the bus stop and get on the next one! This gives you so much freedom to explore the city at your own pace, it’s affordable and there is an open top deck for when the weather is good! All of the most famous landmarks in London are featured on this tour, as well as some of the smaller ones which are also a must see.
